Our Mission Statement

In partnership with children, parents and teachers, our school’s main objective is to provide a happy, friendly, safe, learning environment, that values, respects, encourages and empowers every child and member of our community to develop to their fullest potential.

Aistear

Our curriculum is strongly linked with Aistear, the National Curriculum Framework, its principles, themes and guidelines for good practice.

Síolta

The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education, outlines a vision for quality practice in Early Childhood Care and Education in Ireland and informs Mo’s Montessori’s learning environment and approach.

The Montessori method provides the opportunity for each child’s development, by nurturing a natural desire of learning using the access points of language, mathematics, geography, nature, culture, arts and practical activities as pathways for guiding emerging interests, inquiry and development of critical thinking.

Areas of Learning in Our Classroom

Our classrooms are laid out with educational materials and resources, objects, puzzles and activities, designed to arouse the interest and curiosity of the child, supported by qualified early years educators.

Our school offers a friendly, unpressurised learning experience, that incorporates playfulness, fun and joy, helping to spark a deep love of learning.

The outdoor space is extremely important to our school. Here the children get to actively explore and play, interact with the natural materials of our seaside garden, develop a sense of adventure, as well as, a sense of awe and wonder of the natural world all around them.
